FAQ
(FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS):
Q: Do you make house calls?
A: Sure, we make house calls in the Beijing metropolitan
area. If you live really far away we charge more (or might not want to come).
We charge by the hour for service calls. It's preferrable (and cheaper)
if you can bring the computer to our office as we're perfectionists
and it can be time-consuming to do it right. Also, if you bring it to us, we can charge you a competitive flat-rate for our complete, comprehensive service.
Q: Where are you located?
A: There are directions to our office here.
Q: Should I make an appointment before coming to BCCo?
A: Yes, please. Also, kindly coordinate your visit with the calendar here.
Q: What do you charge?
A: There's a fee schedule here. We try to keep our prices reasonable but please understand that many things (quality computer parts, for example) are more expensive here than in the west.
Q: What are YOUR qualifications?
A: We have several computing graduates in our company with decades of total
experience.
Q: What's your warranty policy?
A: Click here for the answer.
Q: Why should we trust you?
A: Because we've all been in Beijing a long time and want
to stay and have roots here (families, homes, etc.) and are concerned about
our reputation in the community. We understand the value of a satisfied
customer, and the fact that word of mouth advertising is the most effective
kind of advertising and that it can't really be bought. We have
references and testimonials available
should you require them.
Q: Do you sell hardware and/or software?
A: No, we sell neither hardware nor software.
Our business is building, repairing and/or installing it. We've been doing
this awhile and have good relationships at the local computer markets and
get the best prices on things for our customers. We always give you the
original store reciepts, and you're welcome to come along when we buy it
(you can help carry all the stuff)!
Q:
Why should I/we buy a computer from you? A:
Because we build quality computers for a reasonable price.
Custom-built computers perform better and longer than the mass-marketed
ones, and the warranties on the individual parts are usually longer than
the year that the large marketers normally offer. Recent studies indicate
that more than 50% of the personal computers in the world are 'white box'
(built individually).
Q:
What makes your computers better than something from a large company?
A:
Primarily, we use neither cheap nor proprietary parts. Also, everyone
knows how bureaucratic large companies are. We're a small one and take
the time to pay attention to each and every one of our customers individual
needs. We don't try to sell average computers to a lot of people, we try
to sell great ones to a few.
Q:
There are lots of small shops selling computers in the computer markets,
why shouldn't I just buy one of their's?
A:
We firmly believe that you get what you pay for. Pay a cheap price,
get a cheap computer. Nothing against our Chinese friends but
is their English good enough to install an English operating system and
configure it properly? We maintain that a large portion of the hardware
on sale at the local computer markets is over-priced junk. You might want to take a look at some experiences others have had here.
We're working on expanding
this list, your input is always appreciated.
